The Parkinson's Society of Alberta (PSA) is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to serving Albertans living with Parkinson’s. It was incorporated in March 1973.

We want people with Parkinson’s to live their lives with a high degree of independence, in a comfortable, fulfilling and relatively stress-free lifestyle.

We understand and respect the personal wants and needs of people living with Parkinson’s. We strive to provide for these needs in a manner that upholds their sense of worth and dignity.

Our goal is to assist people living with Parkinson’s through educating, supporting, advocating, and promoting research. We are accomplishing our goal by developing, operating and providing a high-quality, value added service for those living with Parkinson’s in Alberta and by providing these customized services in a warm, friendly and compassionate manner.

The Society provides service to central and northern Alberta including: Edmonton, Camrose, Westlock, Wetaskiwin, Lloydminster, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Grande Prairie, Stony Plain and Spruce Grove.

The Parkinson Society of Alberta is here to help people living with Parkinson’s, their family, friends and caregivers through Support Services and education.

The PSA is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors. We do not receive government funding and are supported entirely by donations from individuals, members, corporations and volunteers. 2
