SuperWalk

In 1990, seven Ontarians walked to raise money for Parkinson’s research. SuperWalk for Parkinson’s has since become the single most important fundraising and awareness event for Parkinson’s Society Canada, and The Parkinson's Society of Alberta. Participation in the annual event continues to grow taking place in more than 80 locations across Canada.

The future

This year, the 2009 SuperWalk will once again be taking place in over 80 locations across Canada, including Edmonton and Grande Prairie. Our purpose is to raise awareness and funds to help ease the burden and find a cure for the more than 9,000 Albertans living Parkinson’s. Through the efforts of our participants, volunteers and various corporations, the funds raised go towards research, education, advocacy programs and support services for those living with Parkinson’s and their families.
